Don't judge a book by it's cover -- aloe is a natural and cooling substance that is great for healing scars and sunburns. Aloe could be perceived as dangerous because it has pointy skin, so I wanted to emphasize the dual interpretation of aloe in this painting.
This is a watercolor painting where I experimented with different techniques using salt, alcohol, and masking fluid to make interesting patterns and layers.
