Landscape architecture and graphic design students are collaborating to design a courtyard with a unique and efficient watering system. I designed a kiosk sign that illustrates and explains the water flow throughout the garden that was installed February 2017.
Since 2015, I have been an intern at the Social Science Research Center at Mississippi State University. I designed the 2016 as well as the 2017 factbook while there. Morgan Freeman wrote the forward in the 2016 factbook, and Seal Ward wrote this year's forward. The book visualizes data about children so that people can be easily informed. Download, view, and order the 2017 KIDS Count factbook.
Local business owner, Josh Mabus, challenged thirty designers to create a campaign that encompasses why we need to encourage people to stay in Mississippi. Each designer presented their ideas and designs to a panel of judges who decided which campaign would be used. My concept was selected, so Mabus Agency will be using my campaign all over the state to encourage and reward people for making a difference in Mississippi. The campaign consists of a poster series, Facebook post, Snapchat filter, t-shirt, trophy, and website.
This project was also accepted in the 2017 Mississippi Collegiate Art Competition and the 2017 Mississippi State University Juried Student Show.
In collaboration with Kelli Clayton, we created a Kiehl’s beard oil advertising campaign consisting of three print ads that describe common unpleasant feelings associated with beards. Accompanying the print ads is a Snapchat filter where the bottle shakes oil onto the unruly beard, transforming it into a well-manicured beard. There is also a banner ad that compares the feeling of having a porcupine and a bunny on your face. This project was accepted in the 2017 GLITCH National Student Show.
I interned with Blufish Design Studio in 2016. I created this map to highlight the attractions and entertainment venues located around the upcoming apartment complex, 500 Russell. You can view the map on 550 Russesll's website.
The Bukka White Festival is a free event that celebrates the rich culture and fun of blues music. I explored two types of letterpress printing to create this poster. First, I hand-printed wooden type to spell out “Bukka White Festival,” then I carved a guitar and music notes out of a linoleum block to give the background an interesting texture. I love experimenting with new techniques to challenge myself while still creating something beautiful.
Brasfield & Gorrie is a construction management contractor and design-build service provider who hosts a competition project every year with Mississippi State University. The project involves nine teams of students from the College of Art, Architecture, and Design (CAAD). I created a book that explains and displays all of the team’s work. My book was selected out of 14 by the Dean of CAAD to be printed and distributed. This project was accepted in the 2017 Mississippi Collegiate Art Competition, the 2017 Mississippi State University Juried Student Show, and the 2017 GLITCH National Student Show.
The Social Science Research Center at Mississippi State University continually produces reports about the well-being and economic condition of Mississippi. These reports focus on the transfer of wealth across the next 50 years in each of the 82 counties of Mississippi.
During the summer of 2016, I studied abroad in Rome, Italy. While there, I encountered so many unique and interesting people who inspired me to create a poster series that represents the beauty of the city. Rome is in bloom all year round, and it’s full of rich history and experiences. This poster series was accepted into the 2017 Mississippi Collegiate Art Competition, and it was graphic design runner up in Creative Quarterly in 2017.

Around Christmas time, spirits are high and so are the nerves. A relaxing, comforting drink that puts one in the Christmas spirit could come in handy. The packaging colors hint at the classic red and green combo typically used around this time of year. This project was accepted in the 2017 Mississippi Collegiate Art Competition, the 2017 Mississippi State University Juried Student Show, and the 2017 GLITCH National Student Show.

This advertising campaign consists of three print ads showcasing scenarios where a cheese break was deemed necessary. The urge for cheese takes over even in the most uncanny situations. The campaign includes a banner advertisement, a Snapchat filter, and also a video of someone enjoying their cheese break.

DPM Fragrance (now CURiO) is a candle company based in Starkville, Mississippi. In a collaboration class, Mississippi State students had the opportunity to work with the design team at DPM to create a candle design, packaging, and catalog that represents each fragrance. I chose to design a candle collection for Blu Gertrude, a southern boutique that sells feminine, often handmade accessories. The collection features natural fragrances that are relaxing and that evoke different feelings of the south. The collection includes the fragrances Summer Haze, Lustrous Pearl, and Silver South.
The Social Science Research Center at Mississippi State University gathers research in order to visualize data about education, among other categories. This report focuses on predictors of academic success in 3rd and 8th grade students.
I am an intern at the College of Arts & Sciences Dean's Office at MSU. I created this logo to represent the college's 60 year anniversary. See the logo in action.

Rock Spring is a wooded area containing a stone path that is part of the Natchez Trace. I created a mini version of the location to bring out the playfulness of the stone path. This poster celebrates the 100 year anniversary of the Natchez Trace, and it was on display at the Natchez Trace headquarters.
I created this logo while interning at Blufish Design Studio. This logo is used in the local pet store as the branding for a coral company.
